Dr. Atsushi Iwai received his Doctor of Philosophy (Faculty of Value and Decision Science) from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses of Gunma University (a national university of Japan) in database theory, multimedia, information processing and decision science. |

His main research area is in decision support systems and electronic democracy. |

His publications have appeared (or forthcoming) in various books and journals including Computer Software(Japan Society for Software Science and Technology), Sociological Theory and Methods(The Japanese Association for Mathematical Sociology), The Japanese Journal of Health and Medical Sociology and Journal of The Japan Information-Culturology Society. He is one of the translators who published the Japanese version of Collective Choice and Social Welfare by Amartya Sen, and a member of the translators that published the Japanese version of Unraveling the Mystery of Health --- How People Manage Stress and Stay Well by Aaron Antonovsky. |
